Ar kādiem vārdiem, nosaukumiem ir jālieto noteiktais artikuls THE, un kuri vārdi ir jālieto bez artikula?

Welcome back, Explorer!
In your backpack, you already have the basic tools for your journey. But today, we are going after the crown jewel of the English language. It is a tiny word, but it holds the power to change the whole map.
Meet THE – the most popular word in English!
Think of THE as a special spotlight. When you shine this spotlight on a name, it means you are talking about something truly specific and unique. However, when it comes to the world map, this spotlight can be a bit tricky. It is the difference between any river and the Amazon, or a general kingdom and the United Kingdom. Why do we climb Mount Everest without this spotlight, but swim in the Pacific Ocean with it? Why do we visit Big Ben bare-handed, but take pictures of the Eiffel Tower?
Today, your mission is to map out exactly where this spotlight belongs. We will follow the trail of THE through deep oceans, past massive mountain ranges, and straight to the doorsteps of famous museums, hotels, and historic monuments. We will also learn when to turn the spotlight off and leave the names beautifully bare.
Are you ready to master the ultimate rules of landmarks and locations? Let's track down THE!

Sveicināts atpakaļ, pētniek!
Tavā mugursomā jau ir pamata aprīkojums ceļojumam. Bet šodien mēs dzenamies pakaļ angļu valodas kroņa dārgakmenim. Tas ir niecīgs vārds, bet tam piemīt spēks mainīt visu karti.
Iepazīstieties ar THE – populārāko vārdu angļu valodā!
Iedomājieties THE kā īpašu prožektoru.
Atrodīsim THE!

But before we learn about the definite article THE, review what you already know about it from 5th grade – The Usage of the Definite Article "THE", The Usage of Zero Article.

The Definite Article – THE
We use the when we talk about a specific person or thing. The listener knows exactly which one you mean. You can use it with singular, plural, or uncountable nouns.
