2. A Trip to the Countryside – Ceļojums uz laukiem

Last month, I decided to travel to a small island. I wanted to explore the mountain areas and see the natural scenery. The air was very fresh, and it was not as dirty as in some big cities.
I stayed in a small village near an old church. The village was very quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I went to the local market to buy food. The fruit there was cheap and very good.
One day, I had to check my map to arrive at a hidden castle on the hill. It was a very old building with a high stone wall around it. I walked near the wall and found a secret door. The view from the top of the tower was spectacular. The weather was bright and sunny every day.
Life in the countryside is worse if you like modern cinemas, but it is much better if you love nature. It was a unique experience to discover such a strange and lovely place. I think this historic place is more beautiful than a modern skyscraper. It was a great trip!
