"It depends on your route. If several colleagues live near one another and work in the same area, travelling together in one vehicle can be a practical option. It does not remove cars from the road completely, but it can reduce the number of separate journeys. It may also make the trip cheaper for everyone."

"Not necessarily. Food produced nearby may reduce the distance it travels before reaching the customer, and purchasing it can support businesses in the surrounding area. However, this does not automatically mean that it was grown without artificial chemicals. The place where food is produced and the methods used to produce it are separate considerations."

"Not exactly. A household may produce very little rubbish while still using public electricity and water systems. Another household may generate some waste but live without connections to those systems. The two ideas can overlap, but they describe different aspects of a lifestyle."
