Dear Ms Bennett,

(1) I am writing to express my concern about the limited support available for residents who would like to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. Although many people in Greenford are willing to reduce their environmental impact, they do not always have access to suitable facilities or affordable alternatives.
(2) One major issue is the recycling system. In several neighbourhoods, recycling bins are either difficult to find or frequently overflowing. As a result, materials that could be recycled often end up in general household waste. I believe that the council should install additional recycling points and arrange more regular collections. Clearly labelled containers would also make it easier for residents to sort their rubbish correctly.
(3) Another area that requires attention is public transport. Bus services are currently unreliable in the evenings and at weekends, which means that many residents have little choice but to travel by car. Introducing more frequent services and offering discounted tickets would make public transport a more attractive option. The council could also consider creating additional cycle lanes so that residents can travel safely without relying on private vehicles.
(4) Furthermore, the council could encourage local shops and cafés to reduce the excessive use of disposable packaging. For example, businesses could offer small discounts to customers who bring reusable containers or refillable cups. An awareness campaign could also help residents understand how single-use products contribute to unnecessary waste.
(5) I would be grateful if the council could consider these suggestions and inform residents about any future initiatives. Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns. I look forward to hearing from you. Please contact me by email at alex.morgan@email.com if you require any further information.

Yours sincerely,
Alex Morgan
