Hello! My name is James. I spend this summer in the countryside with my grandparents. I love these days, because there are so many things I can do and help my grandparents.
In the morning my Granny feeds the hens and cocks. They live in the hen house. But I try to collect all eggs. My grandfather takes calves, cows and bulls out of the barn to the meadow in the morning. There is also a small river in the meadow where they can drink water. When it rains all rivers and ponds around get full of water. Then the rainbow shows up in the sky. I love it!
Then we go to the field till the afternoon. We collect hay and put it in the haystack. Sometimes I also help to water the plants and flowers for my Granny. I am happy that my grandparents don't ask me to weed the garden. But I help them in the greenhouse – to collect tomatoes and cucumbers.
When I am free I like to go for a walk to the nearest village. I know the path which takes me there. I can meet many farmers in the village and talk a lot. Of course, on my way home I sometimes pick up berries and mushrooms.
