Рис. \(1\). Organizing

Organizing is a quite useful and important skill — not only for a person, but for a company as well. One of the way to organize a firm is to have a diagram that shows the structure of a company. It’s a way to see how all the parts of the company interact with each other and how the firm can increase their performance.

Companies are divided into departments. Human Resources department is responsible for the whole employment process: recruiting (both external and internal: interviewing, doing testing and background checks, firing), helps new employees to adapt, processes payroll, examining and updating company’s policies. Also HR can help the employees’ careers grow through promoting and continuing professional education.

Financial department has a wide range of responsibilities. Firstly, it’s basic bookkeeping – tracking, recording and analyzing all the company’s transactions. Secondly, it helps the managers plan the company’s budget. Thirdly, it’s handling everything concerning paying taxes. Financial department advises the management on the long-term decision-making, because it always involves some financial issues.

The IT department handles all computer maintenance. In small firms it can be only one IT specialist, bigger companies require a whole team of them. Sometimes it can be a specialist on outsource. It installs and updates software, deals with hardware issues, ensures the privacy and security of the systems the employees work with.

Organization is the art of making all the processes in the firm run smoothly. Well-organized company is easier to manage and it deals with the everyday tasks and obstacles better.
