Stress is an inevitable part of our life in the modern world, and more and more workers are suffering from work-related stress. What are the reasons for that?

Experts name some of them. First of all, it's having to deal with lots of pressure. Sometimes workers just can't cope with the demands of their jobs and it causes illnesses and exhaustion. Doctors, teachers, sales managers often face inflated expectations.

Trying to meet the demands leads to poor work-life balance and overworking which causes stress, anxiety and depression. Staying late at work affect our physical and mental health, as well as our family relationships.
Work stress has significant health consequences that range from non-life-threatening (like insomnia or being prone to catching colds) to potentially serious (such as heart diseases).

What are the ways to cope with work-relate stress? Firstly, a person shouldn't try to fight it with alcohol or junk food — it is better to choose more healthy ways to distract like physical exercise, taking time off and leaving time for hobbies. Secondly, getting enough sleep is crucial, also some breathing techniques can release the tension. Thirdly, if a person can't cope on their own, getting professional help is necessary.
Everyone should know that productivity at work is less important than mental and physical health.
